Casting Lusatia means applying online and travelling only to an accessible casting city for agreed castings or shoots. This works from Cottbus, Senftenberg, Bautzen, Görlitz, Hoyerswerda, Weißwasser or Zittau, as well as from smaller towns in the region. Participation is only possible from the age of 18 and requires identity verification.
The German-Sorbian-influenced Lausitz includes Niederlausitz in southern Brandenburg and Oberlausitz in eastern Sachsen; the Polish border runs along the Lausitzer Neiße. The area covers Cottbus, Spree-Neiße, Oberspreewald-Lausitz, parts of Dahme-Spreewald, Elbe-Elster and Oder-Spree, Landkreis Görlitz, and most of Landkreis Bautzen. Adults aged 18 and over from Cottbus, Görlitz, Bautzen, Hoyerswerda, Senftenberg, Spremberg, Weißwasser and Zittau may apply. On 30.10.2026, there is no job available directly in the Lausitz. Applications and the first interview take place online or by video; castings and shoots are held in Berlin or Dresden.

The stated travel times refer to Tuesday, 3 November 2026, with departures from 6 a.m.:
The Deutschlandticket is valid for the local-transport options on RE, RB and S-Bahn services, but not on ICE or IC. By car, the A13, A15 and A4 lead towards Berlin, Dresden and Poland.
In Berlin, 12 jobs are open: webcam studio, pay-site, photo and video productions, including opportunities for couples and men. In Dresden, 1 job is open, a private production for couples. Regional information is provided on the state pages for Brandenburg and Sachsen.

You normally pay for your trip to the casting yourself. If you are travelling a long distance, more details can be clarified by video in advance. You must agree on travel expenses for the shoot day before accepting the offer. If travelling there and back on the same day is unreasonable, the production usually covers travel and overnight accommodation; short journeys are generally covered by the day rate. Bautzen–Dresden and Görlitz–Dresden are generally considered short routes, while Cottbus–Leipzig and Senftenberg–Berlin are generally considered long routes. This is not a guarantee. Document agreements in writing and state your travel radius and whether you are willing to stay overnight. More information is available under Questions about travel costs.
If you live in Cottbus, Görlitz, Bautzen, Hoyerswerda, Senftenberg, Spremberg, Weißwasser or Zittau, you can also work location-independently from home via webcam, without travelling. The fee varies depending on the production, scope and agreement; the earnings calculator provides a guideline. You must be at least 18 to participate. Before every casting, your identity card or passport will be checked. Castings and shoots take place only in a studio or booked location, never in a private home. You may bring a companion and stop at any time. Follow the safety rules for castings.
Gesundheitsamt Cottbus (public health office) offers anonymous and free testing for HIV and certain STIs. In Landkreis Bautzen, anonymous advice without a referral and at no cost is available on request, as are HIV self-tests and tests including for hepatitis B; locations are Bautzen, Hoyerswerda and Kamenz. Arrange an appointment in advance and check the opening hours on the Kreis or city website.
Under § 19 Infektionsschutzgesetz, Gesundheitsämter provide STI counselling and examinations. For sets in Berlin or Dresden, your STI panel may be no more than 14 to 30 days old; the production covers the cost. Condoms are mandatory for vaginal and anal intercourse. Anonymous tests without a written result do not count as a production panel. Further information is available under Health on set.
If you operate a webcam business or create your own content commercially, you must register the business with the municipality where you live. In smaller Brandenburg municipalities, this is handled by the Ämter; in Sachsen, by the Verwaltungsverbände or Verwaltungs-gemeinschaften; for Cottbus, Görlitz and Bautzen, the respective Stadtverwaltung is responsible. You then submit the tax questionnaire via ELSTER. Under § 19 AO, the Finanzamt responsible for your place of residence handles your income tax. More information is available under Business registration and taxes.
For geoblocking, Brandenburg, Sachsen and, where applicable, Poland may be relevant; near Zittau, nearby Czechia may also matter. Niederlausitz tends to orient itself towards Berlin, while Oberlausitz looks more towards Dresden; at around 100 min., Cottbus–Berlin is the fastest corresponding connection. Check profiles, location details and blocked regions. Further information: staying discreet in a small town.
Adult students at BTU Cottbus–Senftenberg, Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz or Medizinische Universität Lausitz – Carl Thiem in Cottbus should check their income, health insurance, taxes and any effects on BAföG. The page on student side jobs provides assistance.
That depends on your place of residence and the listing. Cottbus–Berlin takes 1 hr. 40 min., and Bautzen–Dresden 48 min. Görlitz, Hoyerswerda and Cottbus are also connected to Dresden. The job city is decisive, because there is currently no open job in the Lausitz itself.
Yes. According to the timetable information, the journey by RE2 and S5 takes 1 hr. 40 min.; both count as local transport. In second class, the Deutschlandticket is valid on RE, RB, S-Bahn, bus and tram services, but not on ICE, IC, EC or FlixTrain. Check the connection again before you depart.
Gesundheitsamt Cottbus offers anonymous testing for HIV and certain STIs. In Landkreis Bautzen, anonymous counselling and testing are available on request in Bautzen, Hoyerswerda and Kamenz. Arrange an appointment in advance and check the opening hours on the Kreis or city website.
The fastest connection takes 2 hrs. 30 min. and includes an ICE section. Using local transport only, RE18 and RE50 take 2 hrs. 32 min.; this option can be used with the Deutschlandticket. However, Leipzig is not among the job cities with open positions mentioned here.
If an offer in Berlin or Dresden suits you, you can apply online. State your travel radius and whether an overnight stay would be possible.
