Planning Shoots Abroad Safely: Travel, Contract and Return Flight

An adult shoot abroad can create opportunities for new productions and contacts, but it requires especially careful preparation. Under the heading “adult shoot abroad,” you should therefore check more than just the fee: a signed contract, a secured return journey, reliable accommodation, valid travel documents and reachable emergency contacts are essential.

Do not rely on verbal promises or last-minute messages. Before departure, all key conditions should be available in writing and be understandable to you. Unclear points must be clarified before booking, not at the airport or on set.

The jobs advertised on porno-casting.net currently have filming locations in Germany or can be carried out regardless of location (as of October 2026). This page can help if you receive an offer to film abroad by other means or if a production suggests a filming location outside Germany. The rules for on-set safety and discretion apply there as well.

Check the production before accepting

Ask the production for its full company name, business address, reachable contact person and details of who will be your contractual partner. Also check whether communication takes place through verifiable business contact details. A mere promise through an anonymous profile is not sufficient for travelling abroad.

It is also important to know who is actually organising the shoot. The client, production company, location operator and the person booking your travel may be different parties. You should know whom to contact if there are problems with travel, accommodation, the contract, safety or payment.

Ask about the exact location, planned schedule, cast and crew members who will be present. If this information is unavailable shortly before departure or repeatedly changes without a plausible reason, caution is appropriate. You can find further warning signs in the guide to recognising dubious offers.

The guide Is porn casting legitimate? explains how to recognise a reputable agency in general. The questions there are also useful for productions that contact you directly from abroad.

Set out the contract and boundaries before travelling

You must have the complete contract before departure. Read it carefully and do not sign a version you do not understand linguistically. For a contract in a foreign language, a reliable translation is advisable. It should also be clarified which language version takes precedence in the event of a conflict.

The contract must include at least the agreed shooting day, working hours, fee, payment method, travel expenses, accommodation and the conditions for cancellation or termination. The planned forms of publication, period of use, countries of distribution and platforms used are equally important. The article on usage rights, period and distribution territory explains these points in greater detail.

Your yes-no-maybe list of 87 possible shoot activities becomes part of the contract. Anything you have excluded may not be requested spontaneously, even in exchange for an additional payment. Changes are possible only with your free and explicit consent, and you may stop working at any time.

When placement takes place through porno-casting.net, the written boundary agreement remains binding for an international production as well. If the shoot is terminated for safety reasons, the day fee remains payable. The agreed conditions should also be available to the person responsible on the foreign set.

Condoms are mandatory without exception for vaginal and anal intercourse, regardless of any tests presented. An agreed STI panel may not be older than 14 to 30 days on the shooting day; the production bears the cost. Make sure the contract states that these requirements are not overridden by differing local customs.

Keep control of your outward journey and return flight

Travel only once your outward and return journeys have been arranged with certainty. The production bears travel and flight costs, but you should be able to access the booking confirmation and all tickets yourself. A return journey that can be rebooked or authorised only by one person on location creates unnecessary dependence.

Check names, travel dates, airports, baggage conditions and rebooking rules. Also allow enough time between arrival and the start of work. Arriving very late and then immediately shooting can promote exhaustion and pressure to make decisions.

Keep your own financial reserve for emergencies, even if the production covers all agreed travel costs. It is not intended to make you pay contractual costs yourself, but to enable you to travel independently to the airport, train station or safe accommodation in a conflict. Travel-planning advice is also available in the checklist arriving safely for a shoot.

Share your travel plan, accommodation, production contact and return flight details with someone you trust. Agree on fixed times for brief check-ins and a clear signal for when you need help. Your companion may come without prior notice; nevertheless, clarify in advance how their travel and accommodation will be organised in practice.

Accommodation, identification and personal documents

The accommodation should be confirmed before the journey begins, with the complete address and booking confirmation. Clarify whether you have your own lockable room, how far it is from the location and who will provide the transfer. A private shower and a space to withdraw must be available; the production bears catering and travel costs.

Keep your identification, payment methods, phone and return-travel documents yourself. A valid identity card or passport is required for casting and shooting; a driving licence is not sufficient. Which document is required for entry and whether a visa or work permit is needed depends on the destination country and your nationality.

Do not hand over your original document permanently to the production or other parties. Legally required checks by border authorities or accommodation providers are separate from this. If copies are needed, clarify in advance for what purpose they will be processed, how they will be protected and when they will be deleted.

Also check the validity period of your documents in good time. Without a valid document, neither a casting nor a shoot will take place. Store encrypted copies separately from the original so that you have the necessary information available if it is lost.

Emergency contacts, embassy and the law of the shooting country

Write down local emergency numbers, the address of your accommodation and the contact details of the embassy or consular representation responsible for you. If you are not a German national, the representation of your country is generally responsible. Store this information offline, as your mobile data connection may fail.

An embassy can provide consular assistance, for example with lost travel documents or finding local contacts. However, it does not replace the police, medical care or legal representation. Before departure, therefore, find out which local bodies are responsible in an acute emergency.

Even if the contract names German law, mandatory provisions of the shooting country may apply. These may concern entry, employment, production, publication, health protection and public morality. Do not assume that an activity is automatically permitted merely because it is lawful in Germany.

For countries or contractual arrangements with unclear legal status, advice before travelling is sensible. This applies especially if the contract specifies a foreign jurisdiction or the production provides no verifiable information about permits. Do not sign any declaration whose legal consequences you cannot assess.

Safety at the casting and on set

A casting takes place exclusively in a studio or booked location, never in a private home. At least three people must be present, and your companion is allowed without prior notice. No sexual acts take place during the casting.

Before the shooting day, have it stated who the responsible contact person on set is. Agree on a clear stop signal and keep your phone reachable. Makeup or other agreed measures to protect your recognisability should already be stated in the contract and production documents.

Consent always applies only to what has specifically been agreed and may be withdrawn during the shoot. Tiredness, travel costs or production expenses already incurred do not oblige you to accept an excluded situation. If boundaries are crossed, leave the situation and contact your trusted person, local emergency services or the consular representation.

Store the contract, booking confirmations and important messages so that you can access them even without internet. Where possible, document changes to the schedule or conditions in writing. This makes it easier to establish later what was originally agreed.

Published recordings know no national borders. Filming abroad therefore does not prevent people in Germany from recognising you. The guide Working anonymously explains what stage names, geoblocking and separate accounts can achieve, and where their limits are.

Filming in the EU and the USA: work permits and documentation

Within the European Union, for example when filming in Prague or attending a casting in Luxembourg, nationals of an EU member state do not need a work permit. Questions concerning social security and taxes still remain. Anyone temporarily working in another EU member state should clarify whether an A1 certificate is required. It proves which social security legislation applies to you and is issued, depending on your insurance status, by your health insurance fund or Deutsche Rentenversicherung.

A porn casting or filming in the USA is legally different. Anyone wishing to work as a pornographic performer in the USA may not do so with an ESTA authorisation: visa-free travel does not permit paid work. A suitable visa is generally required for paid filming, and before the trip the production must explain the legal basis on which you will be working. Anyone working without authorisation risks being refused entry at the border and encountering problems with future entries. The US Embassy and a specialist immigration-law adviser can provide binding information.

Under federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2257), US productions must retain proof of age for all participants. This means that making a copy of your identity document is required there. The original nevertheless remains with you.

You should reject job offers for erotic work abroad that promise travel, accommodation and a high fee in advance but provide no contract, no verifiable company and no return flight of your own. A serious production will answer the questions on this page before you accept a ticket. In an acute emergency, you can reach the police and emergency medical services in all EU member states by calling 112.

Fee, accounting and taxes for international shoots

The fee, currency and payment deadline must be stated clearly in the contract. At porno-casting.net, payment is made within 14 days by bank transfer with an accounting statement; cash payment is not provided for. The production also bears the agreed travel costs, catering and accommodation, so these items should be shown separately from the actual fee.

Clarify who bears bank charges, exchange-rate costs and any fees for international transfers. After the shoot, obtain an understandable accounting statement and keep the contract, invoice, proof of payment and travel-expense documents. The article accounting after the shoot describes how this process is structured.

If you live or usually reside in Germany, income from abroad may generally also be relevant for tax purposes in Germany. The shooting country may additionally claim taxation rights or apply tax withholding. Whether foreign tax is credited and which agreements between the countries apply depends on the individual case and the current rules in force.

For VAT purposes, a cross-border service may also be treated differently from a purely German booking. Relevant factors include your tax status, the client’s registered office and the nature of the service. Before issuing an invoice, clarify which details are required and whether special reporting or documentation obligations apply.

Checklist before departure

  • Production: Company details, contractual partner and responsible contact person have been checked.
  • Contract: Fee, boundaries, usage rights, termination, cancellation conditions and applicable law are regulated understandably.
  • Travel: Outward journey and return flight are confirmed and can be accessed by you yourself.
  • Accommodation: Address, booking, private room, transfer, shower and space to withdraw have been clarified.
  • Documents: Identity card or passport and, where applicable, visa and work permit are valid.
  • Safety: Trusted person, companion, check-in times and stop signal have been arranged.
  • Emergency: Local emergency services and the responsible embassy or consular representation are stored offline.
  • Accounting: Transfer, deadline, currency, travel expenses and tax documents are regulated.

If any of these points is missing, you should not travel under time pressure. A reputable production accepts that contracts, safety and entry requirements must be clarified before departure. If you have questions, you can reach the editorial team by email through the contact page.
